Butterfly Garden at Singapore’s Changi Airport
Mel from Everything I Wished For
I love Singapore for many reasons- the diverse culture, the friendly people, the colours, the tastes, the smells. On a recent visit, and with time to spare at the airport I stumbled upon an oasis of calm and beauty right next to a busy runway.
Changi Airport’s Butterfly Garden is the only garden of its kind located in an airport in the world. Spread over two levels, the garden features a variety of butterflies, tropical plant species, a waterfall, grotto, and emergence enclosure where you can see butterflies right from the cocooning stage. Most intriguingly is that it’s located right in the middle of one of the world’s busiest airports!
