Dunedin to Queenstown, New Zealand

Rebecca from Curate Your Own Adventure

Combine stunning scenery and small town charm with a car and you have the recipe for an unforgettable road trip.

One of my favourite road trips has been from Dunedin to Queenstown, New Zealand. The best part was planning our route.

We had two options:

1. Via Ranfurly – an art deco town
2. Via Roxburgh – an old mining town

Ranfurly had 1920s charm with vintage/antique shops to match. A little further up the road is an old mining town, Ophir. We stopped here for lunch at Pitches Café and Restaurant. To this day one of the best meals I’ve ever had.

We learnt very quickly that New Zealand is a country best seen by car. This was just one of many road trips we did in this picturesque country but it will always be my favourite.
