Looking For Entertainment

Maria and I have followed our noses up and down the street, looking for the source of “that Icelandic hotdog smell“. Eventually, our stomachs get the better of us and we land in a pub eating burgers (hotdogs will have to wait for another day) and taking advantage of the wifi.

“You see anything interesting to do tonight?” I ask Maria, whose phone picks up the signal better than mine.

“Looks like there’s a circus on,” she says, burger in one hand, phone in the other. She reads aloud from the ad, “Skinnsemi is a cabaret show with a circus twist.” She pauses, “Hmm. It says ‘burlesque and vaudeville inspiration’.”

“What the heck does that mean?”

Maria shrugs. “Starts at 7:30.”

“Alright. Let’s do it.”
