This week, SGT asked bloggers about their 2015 travel to-do lists.

2015 is already going strong (is it really almost April?), and many of us are already defaulting on our New Year’s Resolutions. But here is a list of travel goals that we don’t plan to skip this year! Read mine below, then click “next” to see what other bloggers had to say!

Take a trip to Colombia, South America

Hayley from Savvy Girl Travel

Last fall, while attending the World Trade Market in London, I won a hotel stay in Cartagena, Colombia. The coupon must be used before the end of 2015, so I have a limited amount of time to make it happen! My original plan was to take the trip to Cartagena, then spend a month or two in Medellin, the second largest city in the country. Medellin is trying hard to reform its image as the drug capital of the world into a more hip, modern, and tourist-friendly city.

Magical Realism is a writing form that involves small bits of magic in otherwise realistic settings. One of the most famous purveyors of this type of writing is Colombian writer Gabriel Garcia Marquez, author of One Hundred Years of Solitude and Love in the Time of Cholera.

Now, though, as real life (and work) encroaches on my travel plans, I have been scaling back my Colombia trip. My goal this year is to make this trip happen despite the odds, even if it can only be a week long.
