And then there’s this
Maria and I happened upon this beautiful work of art while looking for a store that would rent me a tripod (we wanted to try to see the Northern Lights that evening…more on that later). The store, unfortunately, was closed, but at least we got to see this!

Very cool! I feel like street art says a lot about a city. A city with street art is a creative environment. A city without street art is…well, where I currently live 😛
Would love to visit Reykjavik.
Yeah, I think you’re right. And the kind of street art the city has also makes a statement. In Reykjavik, there was very little street art of the graffiti variety and many more murals and commissioned works!

So much about what I’ve read about Iceland focuses on its natural beauty. It’s nice to find out that it has an interesting urban area, too. That mosaic is so beautiful, and that one of the fish rising up towards the long hair (or was it flying squid tentacles) is wonderful, too.
absolutely! Reykjavik certainly has the best of both worlds 🙂
