The Perfect Bookish Holiday
If you’re into books, Gladstone’s library could be a dream come true. It’s a residential library founded by former Prime Minister William Gladstone that hosts visitors and students in affordable bed and breakfast accommodation. They strive to keep prices low in order to stick to Gladstone’s desire to make the library accessible to everyone, especially students. The library’s base is Gladstone’s own 32,000 book collection which has grown to more than 250,000 since the library’s founding in the early 20th century. The library’s main focus is Divinity Studies, but it also boasts a number of unique collections including “History of Technology”, “Redefining Liberalism”, and “Contemporary Fiction”.
